Ask the Holy Spirit of God to help you discover and take delight in the gift He has given you. Commit to grow and use every gift God places in you. Ask for a humble heart as you serve Jesus, His Church, and the world.

  1. What is one of your favorite gifts you have ever received? Why does it mean so much for you?

  2. Tell about a time you got a gift that did not bring the joy and meaning you had hoped it would bring you.

  3. Read: 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 If you have placed your faith in Jesus and received Him as your Savior, what does this passage tell you about yourself and the gifting God has given you?

  4. Read: 1 Corinthians 12:15-25 How can knowing and using our spiritual gifts change the way we see ourselves? How can it transform the way we see other people in the church? Why is this so important?

  5. Read: 1 Corinthians 12:25-26 How does knowing and using our spiritual gifts lead to greater unity in the Church?

  6. What are practical ways we can care for and support each other in times of pain and struggle? What are ways we can rejoice, celebrate, and delight when good things happen to other people in the Church?

  7. Read: Ephesians 4:11-12 If you can identify a specific spiritual gift God has given you, and if you have used it in some place of ministry, share how being part of the work of Jesus has impacted your life.

  8. Read: Ephesians 4:14-16 How does knowing, growing, and using our spiritual gift help deepen our faith and mature us as followers of Jesus? How can our spiritual growth be stunted if we don’t know and grow in our spiritual gifts?
