Reflecting on the Most Recent Sermon
Sermon Series: You'll Get Through This Sermon Title: God Can Use This For Good
Delivered On: October 18, 2014
"So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God." ([bible]Genesis 45:8 [/bible])
Ask God to help you forgive more quickly. Thank God for those people in your life who have been a big brother or sister to you in how they have extend grace and shown you God’s forgiving love.
Look Back: Take time to reflect back on your life. Identify one or two times when you went through struggle and pain that felt like it would never end. Think of times when you could not see any good coming from what you were facing. Then, think about how you later saw God’s hand, leading, and grace extended through that time. Thank God for being present in the storms and pray for faith to stand strong in the future when you feel like you won’t make it through.
Small Group Discussion
During this series we will be using the small group questions provided in the “You’ll Get Through This” study guide written by Max Lucado and Kevin and Sherry Harney. These can be purchased at a discount in the Shoreline Café. This guide will provide all the discussion materials for this six-week series. If you can’t afford a copy of this and need one, please contact Jillian at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can loan you a copy for the six-weeks of this series.
