But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect… (1 Peter 3:15)

Prayer Direction

Pray for boldness and gentleness as you seek to share the story and love of Jesus with people in your life. Pray for friends and family members who are not followers of Jesus to open their hearts to learn more about Jesus. Pray for the ministry of Organic Outreach International to continue impacting churches and leaders around the world.

“Live It!” Challenge

Reflecting on the Resurrection: Take time in the coming week to read the four resurrection accounts all in one sitting. Reflect on what Jesus did and what is means. (Matthew 27:45-28:20; Mark 15:33-16:8; Luke 23:44-24:52; and John 19:28-21:25)

1. Tell about one new lesson you learned about Jesus and why we can trust the historical evidence that He rose from the dead and is who He said He was.

2. What did you learn about how the Execution…the crucifixion of Jesus (His death on the cross) are firm historical realities. Why is it important that we know this?

3. What did you learn about how the Early Accounts… of Jesus’ appearances (after He died on the cross) are firm historical realities. Why is it important that we know this?

4. What did you learn about how the Empty Tomb…the resurrection of Jesus (He really rose bodily) are firm historical realities. Why is it important that we know this?

5. What did you learn about how the Eyewitness Accounts…of the risen Jesus (He encountered people after He rose) support the historical reality of the resurrection. Why is it important that we know this?

6. How do these four E’s stand together as powerful evidence that Jesus really lived, died on a cross, rose again, and revealed himself after the resurrection?
