Memorize and Reflect

"… if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14 )

Prayer Direction

Pray for boldness and courage for yourself as you seek to share the love and message of Jesus with others. Pray for other Christians you know to grow in their commitment to reach out with the gospel of Jesus.

“Live It!” Challenge

Prayer Walk: Take a fifteen-minute walk in your neighborhood, at your work place, on your campus, or somewhere you go regularly and ask for God to give you eyes to see the spiritual needs and battles present. Then, pray in power for God to bring revival and a great work of His Holy Spirit in this place.

Small Group Discussion

  1. How did you work on leveling up your ability to articulate and defend your faith last week? Share your experiences and what you learned with the group.

  2. Read: Acts 1:13-14 What does this verse say about the importance of prayer? If so many of the most important people in the early movement of the church found it necessary to use their time in this manner, how can we follow their example and engage with greater frequency and passion?

  3. Often times, prayer is the most important first-step to sharing our faith with someone we love. How can we keep this reality in perspective as we seek to share God's love with others? What can we do to remind ourselves of this on a daily basis?

  4. What ways do you think you could grow in prayer during your everyday life? What are some specific examples where you want to improve?

  5. When you think of asking someone to pray to accept Christ, how does this make you feel (excited, nervous, fearful…)? Do your feel prepared to lead someone in a salvation prayer if the time is right? If so, share how you would lead them in prayer. If not, what can you do to grow in confidence?

  6. Andrew Murray wrote: “The man who mobilizes the Christian church to pray will make the greatest contribution to world evangelization in history.” How do you respond and react to this statement?

  7. What steps are you going to take in the next week to grow in your prayer life? (Commit to more personal prayer for the lost, ask someone to pray for them in your everyday life, let someone know that you are praying for them and actually do it!)

  8. Pray as a group together about those people in your life that you hope to reach out to in the next week.
