Sermon Series: Supernatural Sermon Title: God Moves in Us and Works Through Us! Understanding Spiritual Gifts
Delivered On: May 6, 2018
Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. ([bible]1 Corinthians 12:1[/bible])
Thank God for giving you a spiritual gift. Ask Him to help you develop and use it for His glory. Ask for courage to never ignore your gifts but use them fully for the cause of Jesus. Pray for each member of Shoreline to engage in some kind of ministry inside or outside of the Church.
Take The Class…Do The Survey Sign up for the next spiritual gifts class and do the gifts survey. Once you have done this, meet with a Shoreline leader to discover ways you can develop and use your gift for the glory of Jesus!
Growth Group Discussion
Tell about one of the best gifts you have ever received. How would your life be different if you had never received or opened the gift?
Talk about how these gifts can be used in your life, the church, and the world. Describe some examples of how you have seen some of these gifts used.
What are one or two of the gifts you know (or suspect) you might have? Give an example of how God is growing this gift in you and using it for His glory.
What are specific and practical ways we can develop and strengthen spiritual gifts that God gives to us?
Why is it important to develop gifts and not just expect them to work with no effort or energy on our part?
How do you see some of the gifts working in your church and how are they making the church strong and glorifying Jesus?
What are some specific gifts you believe you Church needs to see increase in your church? Take time to pray for the Holy Spirit to bring people to your church with these gift…or, pray for those who have these gifts to use them more passionately!
What are ways you can rejoice in God’s gifts being used in the your life and the lives of others? How can the church celebrate gifts more than we do?
