Reflecting on the Most Recent Sermon
Sermon Series: Momentum Sermon Title: Growing in the Character of Jesus
Delivered On: February 8, 2015
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” ([bible]Philippians 2:3-4[/bible])
Ask God to help you grow in humility by following the example of Christ. Pray that pride can be eliminated from your life so that you can fulfill God’s mission and achieve true greatness in him!
Track Your Pride: Take one week and sit down at the end of the day and write down moments where personal pride slipped into your life and actions. This may be a moment when you had to win an argument, you judged someone unfairly, or you reacted too passionately because your ego was hurt. Then pray to God every morning to help you act with humility and see how this changes over the week.
