What does it mean to follow Christ?
“This summer we want students to understand that Christ followers FOLLOW Christ. Although many people in our culture have identified themselves as Christians, there is often a misunderstanding of how Jesus defines following. Even the earliest followers of Christ wrestled with the same question we face today: “How do we follow a God we cannot see?” This summer we will see how Jesus Himself answers this question, and how He enables us to follow Him through His Spirit and the Church.” – Hume Lake
Hume Lake is one of those places that you experience once and it changes your life for eternity and makes you want to go back a second and third time as well. Summer Camp at Hume is committed to giving every camper the time of their life through:
A CLEAR GOSPEL MESSAGE IN A BIBLICAL THEME: Every speaker comes with a passion to illuminate the biblical theme of the weekend and draw students into the gospel of Jesus Christ.
DYNAMIC WORSHIP: The worship experience at Hume goes far beyond the amazing band they have leading songs in the chapel. Everything from the scenery of their campus in the Sequoia National Forest to the intentional Bible study and devotions to the relational atmosphere created by Hume’s staff.
RECREATION & ACTIVITIES: Hume Lake has amazingly fun recreation and activities for campers to enjoy including paintball, high adventure ropes courses, archery, archery tag, kayaking on the lake and more. Needless to say, there are lots of fun things to do at Summer Camp and best of all is being able to do it all with great friends!
